What are Massage Musculoskeletal Therapies ? We thrive on the ideal of providing the best service of care to our clients and patients. We focus on stress management and your nervous system - two aspects which contribute 99% to why our bodies and sense of wellness can become "unhinged".
We offer a home based clinic in a secure apartment with ample parking and easy access. We individualise our treatment schedule with you following a full assessment of your wellbeing and functional capacity and goals. We can also recommend rehabilitative movement and exercise routines to assist in your return to health goals.
If you’re experiencing stress in your life, whether physical or emotional, we can definitely help you. We can assist in alleviating all musculoskeletal pain, including headaches, back pain, hip or pelvic instability – practically anything muscle or nerve-related with stress as its origin. This treatment also works wonderfully for children and the elderly, as well as sports fanatics and the sedentary worker alike. Chapmans Reflexes is also safe to use during most stages of normal pregnancy.
This modality provides a dynamic approach to deal with a number of complex issues that may occur in our bodies and result in pain, imbalance and poor functionality. This massage approach uses manipulation of the soft tissues of the body – and influences movement – to produce a specific therapeutic, rather than just a generalised approach. Techniques, lubricants, and movements are used to suit to your needs and response.
We offer this approach to treat the muscles and skeletal system using various soft tissue and mobilization techniques. This differs from Remedial Massage which focuses on manipulation. Musculoskeletal therapy is more commonly used in the treatment and the rehabilitation of back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and muscular dysfunction and/or injuries. This modalities techniques will incorporate a varied amount of ‘hands on’ mobilization and if necessary combine remedial techniques, as well as take-home stretching and strengthening exercises. This assists in maintaining the functional alignment of the skeletal system.
A complementary and alternative treatment that uses massage therapy – the manual manipulation of soft tissue to promote health and well-being – for children and adolescents. We also focus on sports performance with neurolymphatic points and stretching, which are gentler if painful treatment is a deterrent.
The three stages of pregnancy have very specific and unique characteristics which can be managed with your therapist in a particular treatment regime. For example first trimester can bring on extreme hormone fluxes, with nausea as a main side effect. Certain points of the body are avoided during massage treatments, throughout the journey to child birth, as they may stimulate potential uncomfortable side effects.
As experienced therapists we approach each stage of your pregnancy with an individual treatment plan that will support your body's changes and needs in maintaining wellbeing.
